The definition of "self-payer" can be found in section 3.2 of the Loop Academy terms and conditions: "A self-payer is someone who, as a private individual or sole proprietor, pays for the participation fee." A self-payer is therefore specifically not someone who employs staff.
Theoretically, yes, if individual spots are available in the respective seminar modules. However, we do not recommend this in practice. Many participants have shared with us that growing together as a group is a special factor in the training. We also believe having a primary reference group is important. Therefore, we recommend splitting seminar modules into no more than two cohorts.
The four foundational seminar modules can be booked individually, subject to availability of individual spots, but the Transformation Architecture seminar module cannot.
No, the seminar module cannot be booked individually. It builds upon the content of the foundational seminars. The only exception is if comparable prior knowledge for all foundational modules can be proven.
Up to three people from an organization can participate. This can be deviated from in the case of corporations, if the participants come from completely different locations/departments and have had no prior contact. Our aim is to avoid the formation of groups and ensure the training is not overly influenced by one organization – this needs to be carefully considered.
If comparable prior knowledge of the essential content of specific seminar modules can be proven, it is possible to skip them, provided that a lead trainer of the respective module has reviewed the proof and given their approval. The participation fee would then be reduced accordingly.
Examples: If someone has already completed a Getting Things Done training, Individual Effectiveness can be skipped. If someone has completed a Holacracy Practitioner training, Team Effectiveness can be skipped. If someone has completed training in Nonviolent Communication, Feedback and Conflict Competence can be skipped.
Deutsche Telekom: Loop in the corporation, both in collaboration with us as facilitators and with a number of in-house trained Loop Fellows.
SMA Solar Technology: Loop in a medium-sized company, both in collaboration with us as facilitators and with a number of trained Loop Fellows.
ten23 health: Loop in a startup, building an organization from scratch based on Loop principles by our Fellow Hanns-Christian Mahler and other Fellows.
The cancellation and rescheduling terms are detailed in section 4 of the terms and conditions. In general: short-term rescheduling will incur fees.
According to section 4.5.3 of the terms and conditions: "Rescheduling to a specific module date of another training session cannot be guaranteed by TheDive. Rescheduling will be subject to available rescheduling slots in other offered dates (usually a maximum of 2 spots per module)."
We have decided not to offer any further remote-only Fellow training sessions as open formats for the time being. The demand for them is low, and in addition, the in-person components are a crucial element for the groups to grow together and benefit from each other. This is also reported back to us by participants as a great value of the training. However, feel free to contact us if you can or would like to participate in a remote-only course. We reserve the right to offer a remote-only session again in the future if there is sufficient demand.
There are no English Fellow training sessions planned for this year, as the demand for an English cohort is currently not large enough (as of February 2023).
No, we do not offer volume discounts for the Fellow training.
Yes, NGOs receive a discount. The current participation fee for NGOs is 6,100 EUR plus VAT.
The Fellow training is recognized as an educational event in accordance with Section 10, Paragraph 1, Sentence 3 of the Berlin Educational Leave Act. Employees in Berlin must apply for time off from their employer at least 6 weeks before the start of the event.
We are currently not an approved provider under SGB II, which is required to redeem the education voucher. We have considered applying for approval but decided against it due to the high administrative effort involved (as of February 23, 2023).
We are aware that access to personal education and development opportunities is often limited, especially for individuals from non-academic backgrounds and other (multiple) marginalized groups. If we genuinely believe in a life-affirming, regenerative economy, then the knowledge we offer should be accessible to as many people as possible.
That’s why, this year, we’ve reserved Chancentickets for four of our Academy offerings, where participants can pay what feels right for them after the course, based on their financial capacity.
If you need help determining your financial need, we’ve created a guideline for you.
This year, the Chancenticket applies to the #03 and #04 rounds of the Stellar Practitioner training for regenerative economy, as well as the Loop Fellow rounds #28 and #29. (See the full schedule here).
Important: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule courses if the total number of participants is too low. Additionally, the Terms & Conditions and the Certification & Licensing Conditions of the Loop Academy apply.
For structurally marginalized groups, we define this as anyone who identifies as migrant, BiPoC, FLINTA, people who are disabled by society, chronically ill, or those who take on extensive caregiving responsibilities for family members.
Our premises at Base1 Berlin are unfortunately not yet accessible. If you are among those who are disabled by society or take on care work, please reach out, and we will discuss possible arrangements. Some of our events also take place remotely.
If you are mostly engaged in social work (e.g., in NGOs or associations) and can only work part-time in paid employment, but you believe our offerings would be of great value to your work, we encourage you to apply for the Chancenticket as well.
Du kannst Dich jederzeit für das Chancenticket bewerben:
Email Sue, our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion lead, explaining why you're applying for the Chancenticket, which dates work for you, and how participation could benefit your work and personal development.
We do not wish to compare the need or experiences of discrimination. Therefore, we accept applications from the aforementioned groups up to 4 weeks before the start of the respective training and will then decide by a lottery system to ensure a fair and neutral selection process. If you do not win the ticket for a particular round, please don’t be discouraged. You can give us your consent to participate in future formats if you are not selected.
The winners will be notified in advance of the course start date by our seminar administrator and will be informed of the next steps.
To continuously improve our process and measure the impact of the Chancenticket, we would appreciate your feedback on the current process and whether you consider it fair/non-discriminatory.
Additionally, once you have completed the training, we would greatly appreciate an anonymous report on how the training has helped you personally and professionally. This is voluntary, but it will help us make our contribution to more (social) justice visible and potentially offer more such tickets in the future.
Example: "If your employer would cover 2,000 EUR, we can split the invoice by modules – this is the easiest to implement. 2,000 EUR corresponds to approximately 3 days of training. One option would be to invoice a two-day module and a one-day module to your new employer (6,500 EUR/10.5 training days x 3 training days = 1,857 EUR). You could then pay for the remaining 7.5 days as a private payer, which would amount to 3,500 EUR plus VAT (4,900 EUR / 10.5 x 7.5 = 3,500 EUR plus VAT). We can also adjust it so that your employer pays 2,000 EUR and you pay 3,357 EUR."
Usually about 4 weeks before the start of the training.
Yes. Payment in up to 6 installments is possible during the training period. The first installment must always be paid before the start of the training.
